Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ConnectedSphere, including the ConnectedSphere iOS application, website, social features, location-based discovery, messaging, groups, profiles, media, subscriptions, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use ConnectedSphere.
1. Who May Use ConnectedSphere
ConnectedSphere is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
You may not use the Service if you are under 18, if we have previously suspended or banned you, or if applicable law prohibits you from using the Service.
2. Relationship to Apple Terms
If you download ConnectedSphere from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement or any other Apple terms that apply to your download and use of apps. These Terms are between you and ConnectedSphere, not Apple, and they supplement the Apple terms for your use of the Service.
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not create accounts using false information, impersonate another person, sell or transfer your account, use another person’s account without permission, or create a new account to evade a restriction, suspension, or ban.
4. Location-Based Social Features
ConnectedSphere helps adults discover and communicate with nearby people and groups. Location-based features depend on device permissions, network availability, and information supplied by users or third-party services. Distances, group locations, and nearby results may be approximate, delayed, incomplete, or unavailable.
You must use location features responsibly. You may not use the Service to track, stalk, surveil, harass, threaten, identify, expose, or physically approach another person without their consent. You are responsible for your own decisions when meeting or communicating with other users.
5. User Content
The Service may allow you to create, upload, send, display, or share content, including profile information, usernames, bios, messages, media, group names, group details, reports, and other materials (“User Content”).
You retain any rights you have in your User Content, but you grant ConnectedSphere a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, transmit, adapt, moderate, remove, and otherwise use your User Content as needed to operate, improve, protect, and provide the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that you have all rights and permissions needed to share it.
6. Objectionable Content and Zero Tolerance Policy
ConnectedSphere has a zero tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. You may not post, upload, send, request, encourage, promote, or otherwise make available content or conduct that includes:
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats, stalking, doxxing, unwanted sexual attention, or attempts to shame, humiliate, or exploit another person.
- Hate speech, discriminatory content, or abuse based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any protected characteristic.
- Pornographic, sexually explicit, exploitative, non-consensual intimate, or sexually predatory content, including any sexual content involving or appearing to involve minors.
- Content that promotes, depicts, or threatens violence, self-harm, human trafficking, exploitation, illegal activity, weapons misuse, dangerous behavior, or controlled substances.
- False, deceptive, impersonating, defamatory, fraudulent, spam, scam, phishing, or malware-related content.
- Content that exposes someone else's private information, precise location, contact details, photos, messages, or identity documents without permission.
- Content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights of another person or organization.
- Any other content or conduct that we reasonably consider objectionable, unsafe, abusive, unlawful, or inconsistent with the purpose of ConnectedSphere.
Violating this policy may result in content removal, loss of features, account suspension, or a permanent ban from ConnectedSphere.
7. Reporting, Blocking, Filtering, and Moderation
To help prevent abuse, ConnectedSphere may provide safety tools such as content filtering, user reports, profile or message review, blocking, account restrictions, and moderation workflows.
You can report offensive, abusive, unlawful, or objectionable users or content through the app where reporting tools are available, or by contacting us at miro@connectedsphere.xyz. We aim to review reports and respond to safety concerns in a timely manner.
You can also block abusive users where blocking tools are available. Blocking may prevent blocked users from finding or messaging you through the Service.
We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:
- filter, hide, limit, or prevent content from being posted;
- remove or edit visibility of profiles, messages, media, groups, or other user content;
- warn users, restrict features, block visibility, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users;
- preserve and review reports, account records, and related content where needed for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement;
- refer serious threats, exploitation, or unlawful conduct to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities.
We are not obligated to monitor every interaction, and no moderation system can guarantee that all objectionable content or unsafe conduct will be detected before you see it.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, commercial spam, scraping, surveillance, or abusive purposes;
- interfere with, reverse engineer, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
- bypass safety, reporting, blocking, rate limit, payment, age, account, or moderation controls;
- use bots, scripts, automated tools, or misleading behavior to manipulate visibility, matching, messaging, groups, purchases, reports, or user interactions;
- encourage or help anyone else violate these Terms.
9. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Visibility Boosts
ConnectedSphere may offer paid features such as subscriptions, premium limits, or visibility boosts. If purchased through the Apple App Store, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s payment terms and App Store policies.
Paid features do not guarantee that you will make connections, receive messages, appear to particular users, or achieve any specific outcome. Misuse of paid features may result in feature restrictions, suspension, or a ban without refund except where required by applicable law or Apple policy.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use ConnectedSphere. By using the Service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual Property
ConnectedSphere, including its software, design, brand, logos, features, and content other than User Content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of ConnectedSphere or any related rights to you.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for lawful personal purposes.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party platforms, stores, hosting, authentication, payment, media, location, or communication providers. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their content, or their terms. Your use of third-party services may be subject to additional terms and privacy policies.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not verify every user, guarantee the identity, intentions, conduct, or safety of users, or guarantee that any content, location, distance, message, group, recommendation, or profile is accurate, lawful, or appropriate.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConnectedSphere and its owners, operators, affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, personal injury, emotional distress, or other losses arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use the Service in the six months before the event giving rise to the claim or EUR 100.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ConnectedSphere and its owners, operators, affiliates, service providers, licensors, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:
- your access to or use of the Service;
- your User Content;
- your interaction with other users;
- your violation of these Terms or applicable law;
- your infringement or alleged infringement of another person’s rights.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created legal or safety risk, abused the Service, or acted in a way that may harm ConnectedSphere, users, or third parties.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions about User Content licenses, moderation records, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may provide notice through the Service, website, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence require otherwise.
